Lisa and Donny were our first engagement session of 2015. An engagement session is meant to capture and celebrate the love between two people. They are a wonderful and fun way to start off any wedding story! We shot at my favorite of our exclusive parks and it was such a pleasure. The lighting was great, the weather was perfect and the two of them were super cute with great chemistry to boot. I really really really can’t wait to capture the rest of their wedding day story in October! They are going to love their photographic heirlooms. Here are just a couple of our favorite digitals from the session!
From the moment Chelsey contacted me about her and Corey’s beach elopement I was ALL ON BOARD. I mean, common’.. I was getting chosen to capture something so intimate and romantic, in such a beautiful location with beautiful people! When I arrived at the hotel I found out that Corey was getting ready at a separate location and Chelsey’s sister, Courtney, was taking pictures there. Suddenly it clicked in my head and I realized her sister is none other than professional photographer Courtney Ortiz. Talk about NO PRESSURE… haha, yea right! Once Chels was finished getting ready we headed down to the beach to take a few pictures before she saw Corey at their ceremony.. which couldn’t have been more perfect. They lit unity torches and said their “I do”s in a ring of seashells, with nothing but us, the sand and the sea to witness it. Perfection! Here are a few sneak peeks for you all!
This session was so much fun! These are my absolute favorite kind. This particular one was extra fun because we had a hair and makeup artist on the spot – Alexandra’s older sister, Jackie! We met up at sunrise which means not only her but her sister as well had to be up crazy early. I love, love, love when my clients go out of their way for the perfect picture. I pretty much roll out of bed right before I leave, get an iced coffee and blast some music on the way to location. After all I don’t have to be photographed. 😛 Alexandra was meant to be on camera!
I met Joe and Alicia years ago at our annual home away from home.. The Florida Renaissance Festival. I guess the four of us (my husband too) were just born into the wrong era.. hahaha. It was such a treat to see them outside of the festival and to get to spend some one on one time with them. Both were great in front of the camera and were super easy to work with and the cherry on top was that the weather was perfect! I’ll never forget a little tad of advise that Alicia told me though, as I was warning her about potential spiders in the area, “You don’t really have to worry about them unless it’s mating season which is in September. That’s when you wouldn’t want to climb into the bushes.” What a trooper! And all of you who will be scheduling future shoots for September, you can now rest easily knowing I won’t put you into the bushes with the mating spiders because I now know better. 😉 Here are a few sneak peeks from their session…
