Max met up with me because he needed an author portrait for his first book. I don’t know many people who can say that at the age of 20… what an accomplishment! He is the first male model, I mean author, that I have ever worked with. What a surprise to me that it was also the smoothest going, least complicated session that I have ever had. We met at sunrise and knocked it out in less than 45 minutes! Here are a few sneak peaks from our session.
Aimee, Thomas and I were in most of the same elementary and middle school classes together. Aimee and I were even close friends for years but when I changed schools we lost touch until the wonderful Facebook (seriously I love it for this kind of stuff!) came out and reunited us all again. I was so happily surprised to see the two of them had been married and were about to about to have a baby together. I was so lucky to shoot their maternity session (one of my first under the new business name) and then Aimee was fortunate enough to win my contest and get a free family session in after Nathan was born. The day was anything but usual as I had to brave angry owls, and compete with ducks that followed us everywhere. I’ll never forget this one!
Brittany and I are cousins that pretty much grew up together so you can imagine how excited I am that my daughter will have a cousin to grow up with as well! We started the session off in the backyard of the house she grew up in (isn’t the barn great?) and followed it up at Long Key Nature Center where they took their wedding photos (after it had closed – we shot as quick as we could, then they kicked us out and we shot some more). It was great day! Can’t wait for Emma to get here!
This year I read a lot on different ways to photograph fireworks. I was really excited to see if I had soaked any of it up. I’m pretty happy with the results, I hope you enjoy them!
To get this effect you turn the focus ring while the shutter is open. Most of these were taken with ISO 100, 1 second shutter speed at F16.
This girl was born ready for the camera! I even have a few pictures that I took of her when she was maybe only a year old. You’ll have to see the one at the very end of this post. Really – this girl is going to be a star! Even her dad is very well known in the South Florida music industry as the talented Verse Won. You can check out some of his work with WeFilthyRich Ent <— by clicking on that link! Be on the lookout for this girl, she’s as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside and it’s going to get her far. I had so much fun taking her pictures! Here are just a few from our session. 🙂
This year was my husband’s very first official Father’s Day. It was spent the most perfect way possible, with our family. We got to visit both sets of parents and spent a lot of time together just the three of us. It’s almost like Arya knew it was his special day. I don’t think I’ve heard her say “Dada” more. I love my husband so much – even more so when he is being a dad. I’m so excited to see where this awesome little girl takes us.
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing this couple for many years. You can imagine how excited I was when I heard the good news – Laura is going to be a mom! And such a beautiful one at that. I’ll have to admit I was in shock that you guys were willing to wake up before sunrise to get your pictures taken. I’ve never seen anyone look so good so early. You guys rocked it. Can’t wait to meet that perfect baby!
What a fun couple! Weeks before their reception I had the pleasure of photographing their almost one year old daughter, Aimia, for birthday portraits. Days later they asked if I could capture their reception and I was delighted. Such a great day, thanks for letting me be a part of your special moments. I look forward to more!

Cameo and Nick are one of those rare finds that know they were meant to be together from the instant they met. I was so honored to be a part of their intimate backyard wedding, surrounded only by their family and closest of friends. I also have to note how HYSTERICAL everyone in the wedding party was. The day was full of laughs and love. Big thanks to my hubby, Kyle, who helped out during the day. We wish you both the best!
