Nicole and Bud are two of my closest friends so it was with great pleasure that I was able to take their pictures in a more serious, professional light. If anyone knows Bud in real life, they would be just as impressed as I was at how great he was in front of the camera. Seriously, he was giving off a very Fabio-like vibe anytime he wasn’t wrestling with Nicole, or licking Nicole’s face, or performing any of his general Bud-like actions.. hehe. I had such a fun time with them both and am looking forward to more of these as plans for headshots for Nicole are in the works! Here are some (a lot) sneak peeks from their session. I couldn’t pick just a few.. I always forget how much I love shooting couples until I shoot couples. <3
This year was my first time holding mini sessions of any type. I was SO nervous about how things would go and was PRAYING so hard that the weather would cooperate. There were some slight hiccups throughout the weekend – like spotty rain, wet props, Saturday’s location being taken on Sunday – but in the end everything turned out better than I had imagined! I will definitely be holding more mini sessions throughout the year, and I’m trying to think up some fun ones that you don’t see everyday! Here are a couple of my favorites from all the different families.
I met Joe and Alicia years ago at our annual home away from home.. The Florida Renaissance Festival. I guess the four of us (my husband too) were just born into the wrong era.. hahaha. It was such a treat to see them outside of the festival and to get to spend some one on one time with them. Both were great in front of the camera and were super easy to work with and the cherry on top was that the weather was perfect! I’ll never forget a little tad of advise that Alicia told me though, as I was warning her about potential spiders in the area, “You don’t really have to worry about them unless it’s mating season which is in September. That’s when you wouldn’t want to climb into the bushes.” What a trooper! And all of you who will be scheduling future shoots for September, you can now rest easily knowing I won’t put you into the bushes with the mating spiders because I now know better. 😉 Here are a few sneak peeks from their session…
My sister Christy is crafty in everything. No really, I mean it! After I had my daughter Arya she got interested in cloth diapers and tried her hand at making a few. They turned out awesome – as anyone knows her knew they would. Check out some of her creations! She also makes pillow case dresses, pillows, taggie blankets and so much more!
